If you are selecting Gachbowli as your permanent or present address and passport application is spitting out below error. 1. Use 500030 as pin code 2. Do not use xml upload , choose fill application online option.
Did I hear a Thanks?! I know... do not mention it.
The crap!
For reasons known to Govt. of India and TCS (which maintains the website) the pin code of Gachibowli is not 500032, its 500030. It took a while for me to realize this fact.

I am getting same error for Miyapur.. the correct pin code is 500049.. I have tried everything in that vicinity.. what else should I look for??
Harsha, I did not try personally, but I suggest try from 500 040 to 500 055... i am sure something will hit. If you have already found it pls post it for others

I found the solution for the issue finally. I wanted to share with you...:)
My area pin code is 500010 . i.e., Alwal in Secunderabad and first, I select district as RangaReddy, which is the culprit. As per the Passport office records this pincode comes in Cyberabad District, not Ranga Reddy. I changed the district to Cyberabad and it worked.

Please follow below points that would help you
1. for all Ranga Reddy district areas , please select Cyberabad as the District.
2. For other areas/ places if you face same issue , please call Passport customer care and be smart enough to ask a direct question to them i.e., As per passport office records Pincode : 5XXXXX(of your area) comes in which district ?, then they will tell you correct district. Then please use that district in you application

@bhuvan: I filled it as Gachibowli and it worked... hope it works for you... you can always get it verified in the passport 'A' counter or call the customer care... thanks...

The Pincode is 501101 for all gachibowli area

This site is crap , its always says pincode wrong. dont know y Govt always look for cheaper quotes and give projs to TCS. worthless site
The problem with pincode is due to multiple choice of district available. At least for me, this was the problem.
My pin code is in Dharwad, but it wasn't accepting it.
Once i gave, Hubli-Dharwad, it accepted. Try your luck.
@Prasanna: I have the same problem. My pincode is dharwad.But comes under Hubli PSK. When registering it had only Bangalore PO office in the drop down menu.I registered selecting Bangalore PO.So now when I fill in dharwad pincode,it says this pincode does not exist in the district selected.When u said hubli-dharwad which pincode,can you please share?Thansk in advance.
My problem is solved,I selected District as Hubli-Dharwad city in address section. Earlier I selected only Dharwad so it wasnt excepting. I think thats what Prasanna wrote.. It clicked to my brain now..:)Thanks so much for having this blog!
